Slowly getting warmer....

Remember that game from when you were little.... you hide something, and somone else looks for it. During this time, you are shouting warmer, colder, freezing, hotter, or what ever? Well, it looks like our life is getting warmer! This week, there could have been a government shutdown, so my husband took his language test early. He PAST! no wait, PASSED! I'm thinking he is glad it's in the past, but no, it's not.... There is NO government shutdown, so back to Bangla class he goes, for another week of Bangla speak. Good for him.... Bahlo (? haven't a clue but that sounds like it should be the word for good)

The weather is getting a little better at times. Last week it hit 90 for one day.... we played hard in the park! The rest of the week was spent in the 50-60's either raining or not raining. It can't decide what weather to stick with, so a little of everything, is what we get. There was enough time without rain for us to go on a bike ride. LOVE family bike rides! Especially, when I am towing the trail - a- bike (heavy as a semi-truck) behind me. Oh and the Custer trail is great, rolling hills up and down, lovely with a bike that has decided not to change gears, and a five year old boy NOT peddling the semi-truck behind me. Ok, so I am a wimp, and couldn't make it up two hills. I had to get off and walk.... very sad, but I couldn't change gears! And I'm pregnant, so there! The ride back, we took the trail I suggested, and it was flat!

Went hiking, this weekend to Leesylvania State Park. It was pretty and was right on the Potomac River. Apparently, it was the property of some guy who George Washington use to visit. Can't remember who, but maybe Mr Lee. It was a two mile hike, which was the perfect amount for my extra 3 lbs I'm carrying and for the kids. No one whined or needed to be carried.... see we are still getting warmer.... everyone is growing up and getting bigger. Oh yea, except we are starting all over again with Olive. Anyway, at the end the kids wore themselves out at the kids play area and it was a peaceful drive home. It was movie and popcorn night.

Last night, it was so warm, I said "lets go to the park" at 630 at night. So off we went accross the street to play. Along with everyone else in walking distance of Quincy park. It was great actually, met up with people we hadn't seen since fall, or the last time the ground was thawed. The kids played for hours (2 actually) and we walked home in the dark. They went to bed without a peep, and even the little one slept in. Amazing. Getting hotter.

Soon we will be really hot, in Dhaka. We got travel orders and flights are booked. It's all becoming fairly hot.... How exciting, and it's only taken us almost three years. LOL
